From the listing:

Want to make something really cool and appetizing out of what once was a $3000 piece of wood? Here ya go!

You can actually feel the seller's eyes rolling as he put this up for sale.

By the way it's worn you can tell it was used by a right handed player so he probably chopped it off trying to make it comfortable.

Luckily there are "no issues other than the modified shape".

This is criminal.

I agree with all the comments but a quick question, how can anyone tell this is a real Fender let alone from 65? I agree the seller knows that it's a piece of history that has been trashed but I do not see any evidence that it's a modified 65 Fender body outside of his side of the story.

Ah, the ol' Crying V returns. On a semi-serious note, I wonder how possible it would be to have a luthier sort of re-shape that hunk of shit by adding alder to it and making it back into a jazz bass? Probably expensive, but on a 60s model lefty, maybe worth it (?)

As a jazz bass fanatic, I find this piece very disturbing. :|

The original eBay listing shows that someone bought the bass for $99.95, so it appears the buyer thinks he can double his money, as the Reverb listing has it listed for $199.95.... hard to believe it sold in the first place.

It's listed by the same seller. He also has it up on Ebay again too. Must not have sold. That seems to happen on Ebay a lot. They always give the reason as a non payer.
