I've heard that these are actually very good.
But I won't be finding out at that price.

It's coming from Japan that's why, they added the "free shipping" but the shipping fee is included on the bass purchase :)

Which is a strange practice because I believe the seller will have to pay listing fees on the portion of the sale that goes towards shipping.

I am not quite sure but didn't EBay change this years ago?

I believe people used to sell a product for $1.00 and then charge high shipping costs to compensate.

I believe eBay changed this sometimes ago. Now you pay commission on both...

This bass was up for sale online at Global Vintage years ago. If I remember correctly, they were asking $1500 for it- but, they did not offer any shipping on it whatsoever. The buyer would have to work out shipping on it. I contacted them about it and was told that I would need to secure a shipping method and pay whatever costs directly to the shipping company of my choice.

I've read that the Grecos are the creme de la creme of the copies, and my all-original 1977 RB-700 supports that.

(shocked to find it 18 months ago randomly walking into a local brick and mortar)

After playing it, I couldn't leave the shop without it. But I'm sure glad they didn't demand THAT much for it!
