"Truss". I'm not so sure that's a US instrument. Seller has 0 feedback, and has a random stock image posted. Unless there were some odd examples of the truss adjustment being at the headstock, I'm calling shenanigans. |

Looks like I stand corrected. Just looked around and saw some MIA basses front that era with headstock truss adjustments. |

Fender's cost cutting years just before moving production to Japan. Single ply pickguards, no holes for covers, and Jazz basses had a single one-piece pickguard. Basses were OK but "Stratocasters" were terrible. |

just my 0.02 : i owned a almost identical 83 p in the past, nothing remarkable about it, except for the baseball bat neck. soundwise it was nothing more than a classic american standard. |
