I don't know the band he is referring to but at least this guy is reasonable in his pricing. Could be an interesting project.

Bass looks good and may be a good bass but not what I would expect for a "Punk Bass".
IMHO Punk Basses are normally Black or Off White with Rosewood Neck, no Pearloid pick guard under any situation, bumper stickers would be a plus.

How about this one? I feel like it has the making of a good punk ax, not least because it's currently bidding at $30 :D

As for Hector's bass, for $250 I'd be on my way over to try it right now if I still lived in the Sunset. But it's probably not worth shipping cross country.

That is an iconic bass! I wonder if Klaus ever got it back. The ridiculous thing is that the thief can't even sell the thing because it's too identifiable. I always figured the guy who stole McCartney's first Hofner must feel the same way: a a 4-stringed albatross.
