I think, at that price point, they prefer the term "laminated tone wood body" instead of "plywood". :lol: That's how they described my Alembic, anyway. Technically, of course, you're right; that's what it is... :)

Interesting looking bridge... is that a proprietary ESP bridge?

I am about 95% curtain that the bridge was made by Gotoh of Japan. These were very adjustable bridges, but very expensive for Gotoh to make and sell at a reasonable price. This would be the earlier design of what Fender used on their Roscoe Beck basses.
Gotoh made something close to this for the early Ibanez basses. Not sure if these had the side to side adjustment though.
