I like that finish, but I keep thinking, "I'd have to ditch the pickguard for something else." Then I try to think what I would put in place of it, and I can't think of anything that would look really good. Admittedly, I don't care much for tortoise-shell pickguards in general. Black - too generic White - too bright mint - too bright Red - ugh, no Mirror - too modern I think I would try to find a clear pickguard, or a pickguard that matches the color of the bass as closely pas possible. I really dig the Vinyl pick guards I like how they offer Left Handed versions. |
