Did you get to play these? If yes, any comments? I've been so curious about both this one and the 68 Jazz viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6230 you posted -- they've been discussed previously elsewhere on the forum. |

I played the 78 P bass at Kevin's(Kebo) house about 2 weeks ago. It sounds great. It weighs about 9 1/2 lbs and balances nicely standing and sitting. Like most ash/maple P's from that era it's got good punch and the pick up is very strong and punchy too.Neck is straight and the truss rod has plenty of life left. Very good price and the bass is in very good condition. Kevin is a very honest dealer and a good guy to do business with. If you're in the market for a late 70's P , this is a good one. |

The bass also looks good. Classic Natural/Maple/Black PG. I'm more of a rosewood guy ,but I've owned a bunch of maple 70's P'S and this one ranks right up there with the best I've played. And it's a reasonable weight when compared to some late 70's heavy ash basses that weigh in at 11+ Lbs. |
