Nice P bass. It cracks me up how some list a year earlier than serial number when in fact it's probsbly far later. FYI: non original case. Still a nice bass especially if it's really all original. |

I contacted the seller in re to it. It's actually a 79/81. Did'nt seem to make a difference in the price though...... |

And late 70's early 80's Fender's shipped with the plastic Fender Cases with red lining.  Still could be a good bass if the neck is straight and no twisting or ski jump. |

I had an '80 P bass witch a C+++++ sized neck profile. Felt like holding the barrel of Albert Pujols' bat. I'd check the neck size if I were to buy any late 70's early 80's P bass again. Just sayin' ... |
