Those old BC Rich sound pretty amazing. But they also must weight a ton. . . Check out this video. Same pickups and electronics configuration. The body is a bit different. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABLwmYI09Lw BTW, off topic, here's the link to the full concert/documentary. One of my favorites. This is everything a funk band should be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsRmL9mgxCU |

You are so right about Maceo Parker - wow. I think the bassist is Jerry Preston - there's a vid somewhere of them playing at the Newport Jazz Festival and he's playing the BC Rich. Who knew that is the best bass for funk |

I don't know if the seller is Tom Tyner, but he had an identical lefty for sale a few years ago. If you're into vintage Rich's, then you'd probably know Tom, as he was THE source for vintage lefty Richs. I purchased my Eagle and my Mockingbird from him. He also had a lefty Wave bass, which is the model that Maceo Parker's bassist is playing in the video. Great performance, BTW. I'll have to check out more of his stuff. |
