They had this in white at Southpaw Guitars at a very reasonable price as well. Though not this low.

Received Friday, very nice OHSC. This bass is LIGHT! Balances well, the satin finish is gonna allow me to not worry about scratches and dings like I would with a gloss finish. The neck is "different" but in a good way; kinda shallow from top to back. The bridge is an amazing piece of engineering, I had to go online to figure out how to adjust it but after that it was easy. The pickguard is the only negative; the tortoiseshell looks very cheesy and the guard is so flimsy that it flexes when pulling the cable out of the jack. Needs a side-mounted jack or better pickguard. Large variety of tones, each pickup can be tapped by pulling up it's volume knob. The great thing is there's no real loss of output volume with the pickup tapped. My fave setting is with both pickups and tone maxxed and bridge pickup tapped.

Glad to hear a good review on this bass. I remember seeing a YouTube demo of one of these and it sounded like dog shit. I'm really interested in one of these, especially since they can be found a little cheaper these days.
And I have one of those Babicz bridges on my '78 Jazz. A little unsightly but it's really grown on me. It's a damn fine piece of hardware.

Think I posted this before but I put Hipshots on mine. Better tuners and I like the look more.

Gibson did (supposedly) make these in the 2014 anniversary model so you might be able to get an aftermarket black pickguard from them too.

Mine is incredibly light and really fun to play. I'd like to find a black one and put a black guard on it, I think it'd give it a slight Ripper vibe with that look.

Right, been thinking about new tuners, just cause I don't like the look of the stock ones.

Another tip is the pickups are Thunderbird sized so if you can get them out of the covers you can also put them in chrome t-bird pickup covers for added vintage vibe. :)

I'm not sure but Bill can likely tell you.

The tuners are our Ultralite tuners with mini clover keys. We came out with these to allow Thunderbird guys the chance to put clovers on their instrument and not have the keys hit each other. Our SKU is 206. They are a direct replacement for the sealed tuners on the EB models.

Perfect, thanks! I'll need to get some, purely for looks, I gotta have clovers!
Can you steer me to a dealer?

My only real complaint, other than the look of the tuners, was the flimsiness of the pickguard when pulling the cord out. I just noticed on the 2014s they moved the jack from the pickguard to the bass's side. Good move!
