Bass is not '79... -Tort guard on '79 very uncommon -9lbs for a '79 very uncommon -Headstock Decal is pre-77 -Serial dates to 1976 |

I believe the tuners are pre 77 also . After 76 they used the reversible type that can be taken apart and be made to be left or right handed. I can't read the serial number on the neck plate. |

(We've beaten this subject to death in numerous other posts). The listing states the neck is 1977. Like many lefty basses from that era at Fender this was most likely assembled from lefty parts hanging around the factory for a few years. |
