Sam Ash has 1 left in ebony on closeout for $1199. They did have a gold top a couple of weeks ago too, but that one appears to be gone now. Gibson has not reissued the LP bass for 2014 and I'm not seeing lefty LP basses anywhere else, so this one could be a collectible. These basses sound awesome. Great deep rocking' tone. Grab it while you still can (picture shows a cherry SB, but the listing says ebony): http://www.samash.com/gibson-les-paul-s ... gba13lxxxx |

Great find. I bought a CSB and I'm blown away by the growl...recommended. |

Style-wise, I really wanted one. However, for my tiny hands, the neck is huge. The one I played at NAMM last year felt like a Les Paul 50s fat neck profile, but scaled UP for the basses' size. It is NO T-bird with it's more Jazz-like nut width. My SG sorta' splits the difference. My vintage EB-0 is thin. |
