yup, I am a proud owner of the 4th lefty Randy ever built, and the 2nd one strung "correctly". All i'll say is someone ought to jump on this asap. A new one with this configuration would set you back at least $4K and I think Randy's up to a 2+ year waiting list. Rod of Renegerate saw my bass when it was hanging on the wall at NAMM and described it as a Ferrari
If you are interested, email Randy and ask him any question you want, you'll get a quick and generously detailed reply.
It's hard to tell from the pics if this bass has the tapered neck option - which mine does. The description isn't all that clear in the listing. There are taper core string on the bass, but it looks to me like that bridge will accomodate non taper core strings as well. And don't let all those knobs worry you, I find mine is a "set and forget bass". I dial in my tone before a gig and just tweak the volume knob.
You could also contact the seller and have him remove the control plate. Randy inscribes the original owner's name and date of mfgr on the back of the plate. Who know, this might be one of Jimmy Haslip's cast-offs!!
