Is that an early 70's?

'75? If it's the real deal, what's a 75 Jazz worth?

That's a 74 or a little lower. 4 bolt neck joint, thumbrest on the treble side.

Just bought it!

Jimmy took the whole thing apart and sent me photos as all '75s were 3 bolt as I understood.

Pots are original, dated late '74, neck and body markings are late '74, serial # is '75, so not improbable to be as produced.

Once is was taken apart, it's originality seemed likely. And kudos to Jimmy/Southpaw for sending so many great shots and digging in when I said "'75 is 3 bolt, no?"

Also, Jimmy claimed to have bought it from the original owner, which is kind of cool.

In Europe now, so I won't get my hands on it until the 26th.

Look for me in the "for sale" section soon as I have to unload some current stock to offset the two vintage pieces I just bought.

Received and loving it. Exactly as described by Jimmy. All original, played but not trashed, everything works, came decently set-up. Love the finish color and black blocks and binding against the body and neck colors.
