All, I have a couple of Ric's already and just got a 65 Strat or I would buy this in a heartbeat. This is a 76 Ric with a Buy It Now price of $1995.00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rickenbacker-4001-left-handed-bass-1976-Original-hard-shell-case-Beautiful-/321142979805?pt=Guitar&hash=item4ac59cfcdd Not sure why it has not sold already but looks like a great deal if you always wanted a classic Ric |

a good price for sure IMO. Tons of fret wear tho. you could drive a golf cart under some of those strings. |

I'd be hard pressed to buy a '70s Ric sigh-unseen. . . lots of potential neck problem in those guys, the typical being people not knowing how to adjust the truss rods and ruining them in the process. And it sure looks like it needs a complete fret job. |

Yea, I saw the pics too. The frets were pretty trashed. I think I recall some lifting of the bridge and binding issues. Need to go back and find the pics. Good year tho!! |
