All, I have one of these basses and they are great, for a 33 year old bass, I think this bass is in very good condition for $1995. I have purchased from Nationwide guitars before, they are very good and very detailed. This is probably priced the way it is due to the extra routing that was done for the after-market neck pickup. Routing in that area on a Ric can be pretty dangerous since you're taking away neck stability... since the body and neck basically join where the neck pickup route is, necks have been known to pull forward over time, especially when using heavier gauge strings. If you take away the meat that is there to keep this from happening, you could run into issues. |
