Damn frenchy.... I was just gonna post this. Fender's get peoples eyes around here. One flaw to note here is the E string side edge of the nut has a chip. Only a bummer for replacing because of the binding. Nice looking bass tho. Love the blocks N binding Jazz basses. |

i know it's been discussed to death, but what's your take on japanese jazzes ? from all the sample i hear here and there they always seem to sound too much thin and trebly to my ears. |

Japanese Jazz basses are awesome, but I've never owned one that I didn't change the pots and pickups in. As you mentioned, yes they can be thin. |

I have a MIJ Jazz that is stock except for the bridge and a few cosmetic changes. It is equal in every respect to my MIA Precision as well as other MIA Fenders I have handled. |

I had aMIJ '62 RI and I hated it. Basswood body does not do it for me. Those ash body '75's are fantastic but as Matt said everyone seem to change the pickups on it. |

I kept the stock pickups in my MIJ 75RI, but I've changed all the other electronics and it has improved the bass a lot. I once wrote a review on that bass, it's still on this forum: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1439 Sorry about the pics, I've cleaned my Photobucket account because it had too many folders. The pics are now here: http://s45.beta.photobucket.com/user/de ... 075%20Jazz |
