Saw this at Guitar Showcase San Jose. They're asking $2495. Looks like walnut top, mahogany back. A few scuffs here and there - good to excellent condition, imo.

Enjoy my crappy iphone pics. :)

I played the Epiphone to the left. Also played the aluminum neck Kramer nearby. I am back to playing guitar, didn't even try this bass.

I was going to post it since I just tried it during my lunch. It is very heavy but it has the very typical Alembic sound, woody and dry. Everything works fine and it is in a great condition. I even sent the picture to Gravesbass.

Retag => I did not realize you live in the South Bay too. I play guitar as well so let me know if you sell stuff or if you are looking for guitars gear.
I am looking for a Martin OM1 or 0015. They have an OM1 on consignment upstairs but the body is cracked.

Even at $2495 (two years ago!) this is cheap for an Alembic, considering the prices for new ones these days! I consider myself Very Lucky that I scored my 1994 Alembic epic from fellow forum member billw97 for $800! Still have it (don't play it much, but it hangs in my friend's studio for spontaneous jams), and won't ever get rid of it, because it just sounds too good! Here's the link to the original listing.... viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4147&hilit=+alembic+epic
