Today I went into my local store expecting to walk out disgusted as usual that there wasn't jack for me. Walking by the row of the high end basses I noticed several new 4003's on the wall. I thought this was cool, then I noticed a lefty!!!!! I was blown away! I glanced at it then went to look ate the 100 or so basses they have, I quickly thought of the ric. I set up a rig to play a gk 1001 and an ampeg 8x10 then grabbed the ric. I've never played a ric nor held a lefty. It was a sweet bass, brand new maple glow. I do think it's a great bass and it was cool to finally see what they're about. The guy at the store who orders my crazy strings came up and said they just started making me so he ordered it himself. I asked the price... $2,000 PLUS a lefty pentalty of $500!!!!!!!!! For this reason I won't buy one buy it was sweet. |

I don't know where you live, but you're getting hosed on the price. Dave's Guitar has them for $1900 + shipping ($35?). there's one on the bay for $2K and another on the bay for $2.2K. See if he'll price match. |
