...but with a very steep pricetag. But ain't she a stunner?

I generally can't stand 'target burst' finishes like this one, but somehow it's appropriate on this one. And that deceiving veneer intended to make you believe it's a one-piece ash body hides many poorly matching pieces of ash anyway, so who cares they used a coverup? :P

But "copy of a Fender Precision"? Please! :|

Considering all of the exorbitant prices we've seen in the past couple of months, this seems like a fair price! Wish I had that kind of money.... I'd finally own a Fender again! (first and only Fender I ever owned, and my very 1st bass, was a '74 P-Bass)

Lefty strung righty. I played one of these before. They are built quite well and HEAVY.

Always been curious/interested in these. Can anyone give a detailed impression? This one sure looks great.

I think it's an ash body. IMO I think they sound as good as a 70's Jazz Bass with a sound that is bright and snappy.

Yet another example of: "If it didn't sell the first time, it must be because the price was too LOW"... the bass is relisted at $1000...up $300 from the (arguably fair) previously listed price of $699:

Nice bass, but $1000 is stretching beyond the limits IMO... or maybe not, depending on how badly you want one in this condition, with original case, chrome covers and all the case candy included .... but I'm guessing it's still a pretty safe bet that the seller would take a $699 offer.

As someone who owns one (and has owned a couple previously) I must say they are pretty darn good sounding and playing basses, very much in the picture with mid 70's Fenders in that regard. But (like Fenders) they are somewhat variable in terms of construction and weight- the first one I owned weighed more like a later 70's Fender boat anchor, with a thick body profile; the one that I've kept for several years (below) is much more early 70's Fender; thinner body profile, and lighter weight (but still more substantial feeling than a basswood Japan reissue).

For point of reference, mine is pretty much mint and has the original case and chrome covers (no case candy), and I think I paid around $550 for it 5 or 6 years ago .
