Yup, it's true. I messages him. $22,000 USD for it. I remember whe n the guitar broker had that years ago. Don't recall what it was but not that much I know. ;)
I think Yves has a 63' Jazz as well

I remember when Guitar Broker had that listed and when Yves bought it. My recollection was it was somewhere in the $10-12,000 range, so a $10g profit if he manages to sell it would be a feather in his cap.

A few years ago Yves was in the states and stopped by my house to check out my '77 J that I was selling. Ultimately he didn't buy it, but he got to try out a few of my other basses, including my '72 J, and he expressed an interest in buying that one. )I'll never part with that one). Very nice guy, and obviously an excellent player.

I remember this bass well. When I bought the custom shop Jazz(the one I sold to Addison)Craig Brody from the Gutar Broker put this up on his website and I could have had the funds for the 64 if he would have let me return the other but no go.I think it sold for 10k.The one that got away from me that's for sure.

In all honesty, I don't think his price right now is unreasonable. Look at the 60 Jazz on ebay for 65k. Have you ever seen another 64' Lefty Jazz bass? I think its a pretty freaking rare breed. Not many in existence and if so, nobody will let them go. Thats a badass Jazz bass.

It will make you play better since Yves had it... He's a badass player.

Remember this new car you were planning on buying? Scratch that! Buy a bass with the money instead!

He's on something that is for sure ;-)

May be his mortgage, who knows?

But what is the Joe Long bass?

Ok, as long as I get it first.

I'm pretty sure nobody would want it after I rubbed myself all over it inappropriately and posted pictures on the internet.

Ha! Isn't that what they do with the Stanley Cup? I like this idea. Note that I'll need at least 2 weeks with it so I can properly bootleg it. ;)
