I didn't even think of that. ( DUH!!! ) He PM'ed me and said he had a white charvel+kramer to trade for that black Forum3 I have in the classifieds and I told him no because I had the same things over here.

Hey Bro,
Thanx for responding. Please let me know if you decide to sell it.
I have 2 Charvel 2b Basses. 1 white all stock. the second I had painted Fiesta red, had a bone nut put on, fret level/polish, Pro set up and strung with Black Beauties. Also have the tweed Charvel case too.
Have 3 Kramer 700 ST's. 1 White all stock. second one painted Turquoise, loaded with Basslines pick ups, strung with Black Beauties, had a bone nut added, fret level/polish and a pro set up. And 1 Ferrington acoustic bass.
I'll try and post some pix.
Talk to ya later, John.

Wow I just sold on ebay a brother to that Takamine bass. It was the same series from roughly the same year (around 85/86) and was a flying V style. I think there were 3 from that "GB" series.

Cool photo !!

We have been talking via phone/email since he wants to purchase the G&L I have in the classifieds. Nice guy. We live close, but not close enough for a quick drive. :)

your correct they only made a handful of the V bass ( GB410 ) and the one I found ( GB400 )

is this YOUR picture ^^^^^^^ from 2008 trying to sell it back then?
the only other GB400 I ever saw was a mess,

and I passed on it like 5-6 years ago. Funny thing is that I paid less for that one I bought than the old seller wanted for his POS beat up unit ;)

That was the same model for sure but not mine. The one I sold had EMG's installed by the previous owner. It was fairly beat up but still very playable. I always found those basses to sit really long for some reason even though they were 34" scale.

like most companies....too bad they didn't make a couple leftys thrown into the righty mix. I could have used a GB400 20 years ago when I was into that kind of poser band :)

I guess when your only making a few basses/guitars for "specialty" reasons, and there was no demand for leftys, there was no reason to do it.

Well, that would be you, Ismy and your Californian avatar who is selling his collection (The Bassman?) ;)

True, the other 2 guys seem to be selling them. It might not be such a bad idea. Until recently who would have thought that something like a Buick Skylark would become some kind of collector car? Your collection might worth as much as a collection of pre-CBS Fenders one day...($$$ for your grand grand children!)

well I still have my 1987 Dodge Daytona ShelbyZ as my weekend warrior and that is no doubt to REMIND me of the 80's regardless of what the guitars do for me

one of my friends said he will build me a lefty version of that TAK using one of my spare Jackson necks:
( IF I want to pay for it...lol )

the binding is paint, and I'm sure Isimy's was the same way and although the lefty version would be a solid stripe, I'm thinking about it.

triple stripes :)
