I think putting a bridge cover on that bass was a costly mistake. |

Aside from that they are great sounding basses. |

Danomite, I am curious as to why would the cover kill the value? Would it kill the structural integrity of the wood? I thought of doing it to mine, but haven't bothered taking it in to the shop to get it done. Thought of doing it next time i got to the store to get new strings. I agree with Frenchy, I think the bass sounds great, especially with a pick. I have gotten a few people make offers to me for the bass. Of course, I am not selling. |

I think it just has to do with the fact that extra, non-OEM, holes get drilled into that luverly bass body |

... and the ambiguous "Electronics have recently been replaced" comment doesn't help boost resale value either... |

Aside from the added holes i personally don't see a problem, now, anyone interested in the bass would possibly ask for pictures without the cover in case it would be hiding some ugly little secrets. The 2008 preamp was excellent I wonder why it was replaced and by what. |

I think it looks better with the bridge cover. If anything, it would make the bass more attractive to me if I was in the market. |

belinmad wrote: I asked him, this is what he had to say: "The pots were bad so I had to get those fixed." Hmmm.. Ad says it was toured with, but kept in 'best conditions'. Wonder what could have destroyed the pots?? Regardless it closed at $755 - someone got a nice deal |

As I wrote here once, my Fender CS bass lost both volume pots at random times in the same year and had to be replaced. Nothing but normal weekly gigging use. |
