interesting ... but are we sure the body is alder ? never seen a 70s p with alder + maple neck ...

$1750 seems rather high for a '78 in that condition. And those cracks might look cool, but they indicate that the bass has been subjected to drastic temperature and humidity changes. . . although that might not be relevant. . .

I thought this was a bass I owned about 5 years ago. Had the same type crackle pattern.
