Yeah, that one's been listed on and off for over a year. Until it comes down at least $12 grand I don't see it moving anytime soon.

This guy lists a lot of stuff just to advertise it... he actually runs a vintage gear "online store" and if you call him directly, he'll drop the price a lot.

I'm not sure if he would come down $10K, but it might be worth a shot to at least see what he'd do.

He's been doing this quite a while and a lot of people hate him because he'll part out vintage gear if the neck is warped or whatever... to each their own with that, but I dealt with him on a 70's Fender body and had a decent experience.

He sold it. I had offered him a price and he said that if it did'nt sell at his original asking price, he'd accept my offer.

No, unfortunately not. I offered him $5200 and he had it listed for $6000. He said he wanted to wait until the Ebay listing ended and if no one bought it for $6000, he's sell it to me for the $5200. Well, someone bought it for $6000 and it was'nt me...............

I was really curious about the shape and condition of that bass.

I don't know if anyone here bought it but, the seller was a very nice guy and tried to be as helpful as he could when it came to answering questions about the bass. I don't think he was really sure of what it was that he had. He knew it was old and where to look for certain things (date stamp at the heal of the neck, date stamps on pots..etc) but he could'nt answer too much about the overall playability of the bass or if it was a recent refinish or if it was a Fender factory "oops, we screwed up another sunburst so lets paint it a solid" refinish as well as stuff like if the neck was straight, why a few of the position markers on the fingerboard were "newer' looking than the others, was the truss rod decent or had it been messed with..stuff like that. I know it's a personal preference when it comes to set up and things like that, but he really did try to answer everything that I threw at him. He probably thought I was the worlds biggest pain in the ass...LOL!!!
Whoever got it, I hope they get years of great use out of it. It was a very cool bass.
