Lefty Tele basses have really been difficult to find the past few years (they're rare enough as it is), and unfortunately, about 99% of them I've seen have had something dun wrong to 'em like this one. ![]() But if it's any consolation, that neck mudbucker in combo with another PUP added in or around the bridge area blended creates an absolutely monstrous sound that Fender should consider reissuing, IMO. |

For some reason, I really like the looks of that bass... and it has character. I wish I could afford it. Since I know many of you are far more experienced than I when it comes to the value of a bass, anyone care to comment on what they think it's worth and if $950 is a good price? just curious --bm |

Price seems ok, but no higher in my opinion. Shipping cost is ridiculous. |

bassmasta76 wrote: anyone care to comment on what they think it's worth and if $950 is a good price? The bass will go for much higher than $950. In fact, it is already at $995. If an instrument is valued at a certain price or worth a certain price are too different questions. This bass is certainly valued more, but I have no idea if it is worth it since I have never seen one, not even a righty. I sold a few instruments that I thought were overvalued. I own some that are undervalued. |

I agree! Those wide range humbuckers sound absolutely monstruous, like nothing else! The output is just overwhelming, they're so incredibly loud they'll make ANY amp clip. It gets even more scary when you place one in the classic P-bass position. A couple of guys on the Dutch basgitaarforum have been modding Squier Vintage Modified Precision TB's by adding a second wide range bucker in the bridge position, and one guy put one in the P-position on a Precision... Has to be heard to be believed! Here's some inspiration for ya ![]() The top one is by far the most useable by the way. Classic P tones with the option to blend in the wide range humbucker for even more bottom end. Squier VM Precision TB body with added P pickup and a secondhand Fender MIJ Sting signature neck ![]() Squier VM Precision TB with added ChiSonic humbucker (Lakland / Hanson) ![]() Squier Classic Vibe Precision with Wide Range Humbucker in the classic P position, this one will truly scare the crap out of you! I've heard and played it through an Ampeg SVT Classic and V4 stack and my own EBS, and it just wouldn't clean up ![]() ![]() Warmoth / Allparts Precision body and neck with two Wide Range Humbuckers ![]() Two Allparts Precisions inspired by the Fender Custom Shop LOTTO Precision ![]() I have two brand new wide range humbuckers still laying around for a project, but still haven't bothered to actually do anything with them. |

Those 2 All Parts T basses look awesome! Are those standard Telecaster Deluxe guitar pickguards though, or some custom bass version? Here's my '75 Tele bass. It came to me pre-routed for a P bass PUP in the sweet spot, but I've since replaced it with a SD Quarter Pounder to closer match the output of the Seth Lover mudbucker and added a stacked volume/tone blend knob. I've also since added a Fender Deluxe bridge for improved intonation (not pictured). The blended SD really helps give the low end oomph! some much needed attack and clarity. This bass will make even the manliest of guitar shredders simper like a little child. ![]() https://picasaweb.google.com/pjmuck/1975FenderTelecasterBassVersion2#5351695971776927106 |

They're modelled after the Tele Deluxe guitar, but the pickguards are a custom job for these basses, just like on the Fender example. This is the real Custom Shop LOTTO Telecaster Bass: ![]() |

One of the most coveted lefty bass auction I've seen for awhile. Especially that it was not in pristine condition and that you'll need to be a great shape to gig with such a heavy bass |
