i'd like to get one of these ... but the price + shipping + border taxes is simply too much for a bass like that.

I bought one in '04 from Ishibashi and it's a good player, though I did a few things to it; I put a gold anodized guard on it and a Duncan 1/4 pound pickup and LaBella flats. It looks like James Jemerson's "Black Beauty" 57. Nice thick neck, decent weight, no complaints!
