I read about this bass in a thread on the EBMM board... SB said it was the only one like it ever made.

Due to recent experiences, I'll NEVER buy a new EBMM again... but this one is certainly pretty cool looking.

Yep, that's my Sterling. Thanks for the mention. :)

Poorlefty (who posts here occasionally) was the orginal owner.

Feel free to ask questions here or there. Thanks.

Geoff

Geoff (aka bbl) is a stand up great guy. I played this bass. It was nice. Good weight and good feel. A new set of strings on it would be killin'. VERY fair price... Good Luck!

I concur, Geoff is a great guy and a trustworthy seller, I bought a Stingray from him. I love the color and I am a fan of the Pino fretless sound but I am not looking into acquiring anything at the moment.
Good luck on your sale!

Good luck on the sale! I love my '02 Sterling, a great bass & amazing in fretless I guess. Only one of a kind color?? Hmm, I prefer the more vibrant, 'Baby Poo' green moniker but 'Heinz' green is more PC & will work too! ;)

Wow, thanks for the kind words Jim and Phil. :)

This bass has a midrange presence that I think is quite unique for fretless... at this price point. :)

Hexcore rounds on that pau ferro board just kills. The hexcore allows the string to sit really close to the board and the nickel rounds (DR low riders) sing.

This bass is setup "OK" but really deserves the pro treatment.

It's one of my prized all-time basses but not for me right now.

Would look really great in a spacey prog-rock band with effects. :)

Thanks.

Your avatar... I'm curious. I bought a Traveler guitar recently and I really like a lot. :)

Hi Geoff, (bbl),
actually, I don't have a traveler bass although I'd like to try one, it's just that it was the only pic that the site would accept, everything else I tried to use was "too big" memory wise so until I can get the avatar pic selection to cooperate,
I'm a steinberger 5 string trapped inside a traveler bass's body, or avatar! ;)

I'm glad you're not personally married to a traveler Bass sound because I tried a lefty one at NAMM 2010 and thought it was pretty horrible. ;) Thin sound, clickety clackety loose sound and feel, etc. For portability, I do think a Steinberger (or copy) is the way to go. Mine's been all over the world with me.
