Yeah, I've seen those listed on ebay for a while now and thought it might be a fun project bass. Two things that I'd be concerned about though: neck profile looks to have an unusually wide taper heading down towards the heel, almost as if the neck were wide enough to accommodate a 5 string. Also, elm wood? Perhaps Rod could chime in on the virtues (if any?) of elm, but I'm inclined to think that unless it's done right could be a nightmare. |
