Although the Chinese to English translation is a little weak (I think "parted" means you can take it apart to transport it and easily put it back together to play) Mr. "Mooncake" has what may be an interesting idea here for those into the EUB thing. :)

I think those look gross. Much prefer the look of an ergo or stagg

I was actually more interested in the Chinese to English translation than the instrument itself. ;)

Hey, this looks like something to watch out for while at NAMM next week. Can someone send me an email (use email in my profile) on Thursday to remind me what to look out for? Please remember to include the manufacturer/distributor's name in the email.

I won't have internet access until I return, but will have Bberry access to email.

Az - would be interested in your thoughts on the Stagg EU if you get a chance to play one at NAMM.

I have one, if my thoughts count. Anyways, the tone is cross between upright and electric fretless, more towards the fretless side. I would say that it gets the upright sound pretty well except for the initial sound you get when you hit a note on the upright (that sexy woody thud). The fingerboard is maple (as the rest of the bass) and is constructed pretty well, it also has a nice uniform radius to it (not bevel). I'd say you can't beat it for the price.

blankrider,
your thoughts and opinions most certainly DO matter. That's what a forum like this is all about, isn't it?

Thanks; appreciate the mini review. Still think this would be the bass to get, to get into the world of upright without outlaying a lot of bread.....
