Well now, here's a bass that I'm interested in (for reasons some of you may know) ;)

Unfortunately, I can't quite seem to figure out how to contact the seller with my Canadian ebay account. It appears the seller doesn't seem too interested in shipping to other parts of the world and I'd like to ask him if he's open to that.

Anyway, here it is regardless. Needs some work for sure.

Awesome!
And tempting too.

To contact the seller, scroll all the way down to the box "Questions and answers about this item" and click "Ask a question". Select a category, then scroll down and check the box "No, I want to contact the seller". Good luck!

Thanks for the comment Jeroen. The problem seems to stem from my Canadian ebay ID. When I attempt to log in with that ID on ebay.co.uk it doesn't recognise it. Then when I attempt to create an ID with my real address in Canada on the UK site it re-directs me to ebay.ca. For which I already HAVE an ID. Bit of a loop as it were.

The ebay automated agent has told me that I can only do what I've already done, create a Canadian ID.

Evil Bay!

Oh well, I'm still hoping that I'm going to get mine back so.................................

Cheers and somebody over there will get it I guess.

Have you tried to copy the auction number into the search bar of eBay Canada? You might be able to view the auction on the Canadian site and try to contact the seller there.

Hey Jeroen,

Nicely done! :D Thanks, that worked. I sent a message and we'll see what he says. I'll post his answer here.

It still is not as nice as mine tho... or Graves old/new Streamer that's on Adirondack.

Whatever this bass finally sells for it will need several hundred dollars worth of work. New bridge for sure, some TLC, new pickup screws, new battery cover, finish work, etc.

Could come around though.

By the way, I'd be curious to see what the tonal differences would be between the two basses. One with the Wenge neck through and EMG pickups and the other with maple neck through and MEC pickups.

Thoughts?

Alright, that answers that. The seller just sent me an email and has no interest in selling to North America. :(

For those of you over there that might be interested, good luck.

Too bad, I really would have liked to see you win this after what you've been through with the other one.

I may give it a go myself, there's really something to these old Stage I's.

No, I was outbid by 3 Pounds. I was in the middle of band rehearsal but had brought a laptop with a USB dongle along and we took a short break 5 minutes before the auction ended. The whole band gathered around my laptop to watch :P. But to no avail.
