I don't think that's the original colour as Rickenbacker didn't offer it in '81. Also, there should be a black bridge and pick-up cover to match the black pickguard. |

Rick offered "Ruby" red from 1980-84, and red in 1985. It can be difficult to distinguish between the two. The serial number on the jack plate indicates a November 1981 build as well ("UK" if I'm reading it right). Looks legit to me. |
