so much could be said about this 'refurbishment', but I'm going to turn a blind eye to it and simply say that ... that pickguard is really blue

A natural finished Jazz is about the dullest looking thing ever. IMO, of course. And reverse headstocks...well, they just look idiotic. IMO, of course. The dude went to a lot of trouble to make that bass the way he wanted it, and he doesn't like it enough to keep it. I wonder if he put side dots on the neck for lefty use.
