You guys that have been loooking to get into a decent 5 string fairly cheaply- Here's your opportunity to get an absolutley killer 5 string for a steal! If I was looking for one I'd be all over this, the Studios are by far my favorite Schecters- if you haven't played one they compare very favorably to anything in the $800-$1000 price range- no kidding. I have a Studio 4 and I love it. If nobody makes a move on this I might be forced to buy it, so please don't make me do it.... :roll:

P.S. The price is right on this Schecter Elite 5 too;

i posted minimum bid...hope i get it.

Don't bid on it now :P

EDIT:

THE BCH FINISH BASS IS A SCAMMER(I believe), AS SEEN IN THIS TB THREAD:
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthrea ... highlight=

Notice the shipping location: Georgia

Eric Adams, as seen in the TB thread (TheLastRebel), said he was going to be selling that bass. I sent him money on paypal and after giving me his cell number, he cut off contact and I had to reverse the payment. don't make the same mistake I made.

I really appreciate that. I have actually been looking at this bass (in fretless) on adirondack guitar for about 8 months. I'm content on a fretted model.

It's in transit now and should be here by the 21st.

Same thing here, might`ve been tempted if I`d seen this earlier. ;)

Let me know how it sounds!

just got it today. I'm still confused as to what the knobs do. I've read it's eq + vol for each pickup but i also read eq + vol + blend. So i'm not sure?

The lows on it are killing, the harmonics ring beautifully, and the string spacing is tight. I am not used to having such a tight string spacing but i feel like it's something i'll like once i get used to it. Will prolly help me play technical stuff better.

The action was set incredibly high. I think the bridge was at it's max height. I had to play it like that for church practice and just lowered the action about 15 minutes ago, seems like it will sing.

got the knobs figured out. vol vol

Also, any input on whether i should keep the low b or get a high c string? I feel like the style of playing i do (jazz) calls for me to more easily cover the upper octave than the lower octave. I put my old 4 string flats on and left the low b. Might order a high c flat

For those occasions when I reach for a 5 string it's almost always because I need to go lower not higher- so I find the low B much more useful, but as a jazz player your mileage my vary.

Interesting question though- I would guess that there's a lot more Low B 5 players than High C 5 players out there, but I could be wrong... :?
