If I'm not mistaken I think pjmuck has owned or still owns one. Not sure if it was the hollow or solid but I think I recall some players mentioning some neck dive issues.
Yes I owned a solid body one years ago but sold it. I'm not a fan of the ASAT design playing-wise, though they do look sharp and sound great. The tones are identical to the L2000 and sound fantastic in that respect, but the Telecaster body design does not lend itself well to a comfortable playing bass. It was heavy, prone to neck dive (which is why it comes with two heel strap buttons; I ended up looping through both), and the lack of an upper horn means that the shoulder strap is falling across the front of my body rather than to the side of it like a J bass. This puts the bass at a slightly awkward contour that I found caused my fretting arm to jut elbow out at higher frets in order to play the bass. And, while the neck is a standard length, it makes the neck feel longer than it is. Over time I'd feel strain and fatigue, and especially tennis elbow.
I know at one point someone designed a strap extender (ala the Steinberger Synapse bass "hook" extender) to counteract the common problems assoicated with the lack of an upper horn, so one could probably go to Home Depot and find something that would work comparably.
