An El Monte lefty Mockingbird!
Why'd you have to show this?
Amazing birdseye on this one. Knobs don't look to be original but are easily replaced. Likewise on the PUPs, which have staggered pole pieces and are probably non-original. I just found a set of original 80's DiMarzio P PUPs a few months ago that I plan on dropping back into my shorthorn Mockingbird, so they can be found easily as well. Price is a bit steep on this bass though. I bought BOTH my TJ Mockingbird and Eagle Bass from Tom at leftyloserguitars.com last year for a little more than the seller's asking price. I got a great deal, but I think market value should be around $1500-1600. Tom still has a lefty Mockingbird and a rarer Wave bass in stock, if anyone's interested, as well as a US Warlock and Ironbird.
Do not compare the late 70's/early 80's BC Riches to the crap they make today. The older ones were excellent high quality boutique instruments (poor balance on the Mockingbird not withstanding). Top craftsmanship, woods, electronics, etc. I think BC Rich has seriously damaged their reputation, given what they once were vs. what they now produce/market.
