I wonder if those Washburn Status basses exist in lefty versions too?

That's pretty cool, I've always wanted a Steinberger style bass. Were I not set on a Regenerate I'd consider getting this.

Hi,i had a washburn status with a east pre amp it was a nice bass & had a great slap tone plus the neck was very fast

Check out Arni's leftybass.com site. There are two bassists up there who own lefty Washburn Status basses - Jorn Sorenson/Germany and Kevin Hamilton/? (see "side 2" under LH basses). Jorn's has a righty body (though routed for lefty) and Kevin's is fully lefty.
