Here's another nice one on e bay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0375093375

Tried bidding on this too, but haven't got to the reserve. Might get bolder as it gets closer. I think there was one on this forum recently that was $900 or so (think it was a 4 string). This one's got the painted headstock and looks in real nice shape, so maybe it will go for more. I don't really like the pickguard color, but that's easily changed (I think you can get lefty guards, can't you?)

Yep, you can get them direct from Musicman, or a couple aftermarket pickguard places too.

Yes, there was a SR5 here that just sold for $900, and last week another SR5 sold for $930 + shipping.

If you like that bass, expect to pay at least as much, but be prepared to bid $1000 on it. Still a pretty good deal compared to paying $1600 new.

Used SR5s hardly past the $900 in the past, but I guess there are buyers out there. Good luck with your bidding.

Yeah I think you're right, they are pricey, but there's a reason for that, isn't there?
