Neck is mahogany and has the typical smooth feel, rolled fingerboard edge that Sires are known for. The pick up is a piezo but the eq allows for decent tone shaping. I played a mint GB 4 string for sale at NJG&B Center for $499. A little heavier than it looks about 8.25 lbs. Uplugged it wasn't any louder than a solid body bass. It's not designed to function as an acoustic bass and needs to be amplified to get it's tone. |
