Man, where to begin.. I've installed Kahlers on guitars, and in every instance, it RUINED the instrument. Killed all the tone and sustain.. a big price to pay for being able to do what those did. On that Rick, there's a big, gaping hole under that thing, a P-bass pickup- but that rout- I shudder to think of what THAT work looks like- would be covered by a new guard with the correct pickup. The BIG weird mystery here, is the bound fingerboard with dot markers. |

The BIG weird mystery here, is the bound fingerboard with dot markers. Bound body says 4001-03, but the neck says major repairs may have been done. Bound necks, at least all I've seen, have the triangle inlays. That may have a replaced fretboard. The nut is totally wrong, too. It's weird. How to make a vintage Jacksonbacker? Like that. |

I used to own a 4003 when I was in my early 20s and installed EMG P--bass pickups on the neck. It seems strange to me that I did such a thing now that it's 35 years later. |

I should have added the seller also noted "Feel free to ask about the other 70’s Fenders. The ‘75 P Bass is dead mint." So the ugly Ric has some nice looking Fenders. |
