these basses any good? what needs to be upgraded on these? if any, thanks guys |

I had the Sunburst and maple version, the biggest issue was the fretwork on mine. I did a full level and dress and that helped a lot. With a some extra TLC put into a good setup they play ok, they don't have the heft or feel of a real USA Stringray but they're FAR superior to the old OLP stuff. I think dropping a good upgrade MM pickup like the Aguilar MM4 would make a huge difference, the stock pickup is a kinda crummy ceramic and it's a bit nasal in spots. |
