I don't know if my Sunday morning coffee was strong or weak, but this Fender has a little Warwick going on.

I’ve had a couple of beers (it’s evening here) and I was thinking the same thing…

From the coke infused everybody 70's. Man, that rear pickup route...I've seen 70's Rickenbacker routs like that- hidden under plates and pickguards. I had a lefty three- bolt Strat handed to me to setup at Sam Ash when I worked there, around 1979- it had- get this, a neck pocket so badly routed, and so carelessly allowed to pass quality control- there was the same foam mute material they used under the bridge covers on basses, put in the neck pocket to keep the neck from sliding around. It did anyway. Did I tell the customer? I wanted to so badly, but apparently, it was his birthday present, and he was so happy... that crummy Strat- is probably worth 3-4K right now.

Attached is the sloppy '74 I saw a couple of years ago. CNC machines really have made things better.

A 4 bolt neck on a '75? I don't think I've ever seen a 4 bolt neck that late. I though most were 3 bolt by the end of '74.

Yup, I had a few. 4 bolt were on 75 and switched late 75/76 on some. Remember, lefty parts were sometimes sitting around the warehouse until an order was requested. It's really hard to truly identify the actual build date on lefties. Also it could have a neck stamp of 77/78 but actually be a 79-81 when it was build. Gotta check all the original parts, pups, pots dating, etc. But the fender guys here know the drill.

Reduced to $4999. Considering listing prices I've seen these days, that's a pretty good price. It's in great condition, true lefty case in very good condition with case candy. Would seem hard to find another package like this. Tempting.
