These look great, and I've been eyeing them up ever since their release. When I checked some Youtube reviews early on I was a little disappointed that it sounds fairly modern - but now that I own a very modern sounding shortscale myself, I can't believe how much fun it is! If I add another shortscale, it's going to be a more vintage sounding bass though :)

Yes! The Sire M5 got me originally, too. Terrible decision IMO to use the number 5 in a bass model name where it's not indicating the number of strings.
