Nice bass, but there's no reason for shipping to be $200 domestic, especially if you purchase shipping through Reverb. |

It's possible the seller wants to cover their Reverb fees as well, however. I sold a Gibson LP Jr. guitar on Reverb last year for $1136.00 and with shipping, fees, and tax collected through Reverb it cost me $196. Shipping was only $30 of that amount, and $87 of it was tax collected. The rest was their fees. |

Not surprised... there was a time I could send or receive a bass from Hawaii for about $60-$70... not now! The last time I bought or sent a bass, which was probably about three years ago, it cost me @ $125... One of the reasons I don't buy or sell any longer... but one day, I'm going to have a major fire-sale on the the 47 basses I currently have... |

Overcharging shipping fees appears to be the new normal for private sellers on Reverb. I'm sure that Reverb's new higher percentages have a lot to do with it. |
