Just as a side note to everyone, who is interested in. I talked to the seller, the bass was sold to US for 4500 AUD plus shipping (3250 USD) I would never thought someone is paying such an amount for a Musicmaster Student Bass, but seems the vintage market is going crazy these days... |

For a refinish?! I give up. It used to be in times of economic crisis your safest bet was investing in gold. Now, despite people being out of work for a year+, they’re throwing their $ at instruments. And the market seems to be bearing the increases too. Unemployment compensation put to it’s finest use. |

Resale value on old Fenders seems to be a law of economics onto itself. How much will the $400 Squier short scale bass be selling for in 40 years? This is the 1970s equivalent after all. |

I don't think it was a refin, Musicmasters were offered in daphne blue originally (although on the Musicmaster it was just called "blue"). I've never seen another lefty in that finish though. |

All that checking is gorgeous, but I'd be nervous that it would just start falling off pieces over time... |
