I have a 79 in walnut. It's an amazing bass, BUT that bridge is SUPER FUNKY. I actually had to shave down the metal lip a little bit for the G string to get the action and intonation right. No big deal - just a warning that the bridge is a funky piece of engineering! And it's nearly impossible to palm mute with that bridge too. Again, it's an awesome awesome bass - I'm just pointing out a few things about that bridge that might otherwise be overlooked... |

Granted, these are hard to find, but that is an absolutely ridiculous price (as usual). I know Carmine has one intact. I own a walnut one as well, but I've been looking for a complete unmodded one and the previous owner routed and replaced the PUPs with some sort of Dimarzios (The neck is a Model 1 I'm pretty sure). I've been thinking about replacing those with Darkstars or the Guild PUPs made for the Starfire: Attachment: Guild B302.jpg [ 65.81 KiB | Viewed 2286 times ] |
