Nice looking P Bass - figured I had to post for anyone in Australia, knowing how hard it can be to find gear over there sometimes..

Hard to get a hold of ’57 model LEFT HAND Precision Bass

One ply white pickguard
Alder body
Alnico split single coil pickup
Big output, typical grit and low end drive P’s are famous for
50’s era spaghetti headstock logo
7.25” board, vintage frets
“C” Profile, 42mm nut neck width

I had a bass just like that, if you change to an anodized Gold Pickguard it will really pop.

For those who have never played one of these they are amazing basses, in most cases on par or ahead of American Fenders.

I'm not so sure about that alder body. This looks like the most affordable version of the PB57 (the PB57-53 or PB57-55), since it has barrel saddles instead of threaded, and the narrower tuner plates. Therefore I think this might well have a basswood body. Alder bodies were only on the more expensive and more historically correct PB57-70 and PB57-95. Not fully correct, of course, because then it would have an ash body :P
