Could be because it's in the UK. Seems like everything from the Euro Zone is higher priced.

Yup - We have to add 29% to the import price, also on the shipping costs, and another 20USD fee for the handling.

Example:

I buy a bass for 2000USD in the US, shipping is 150USD - So 2150 total.

Customs are 650USD with the 20USD on to for handling.

So that 2000USD bass suddenly turned into 2800USD.


I really pity the UK though, they are heading out of the EU - So they are looking at customs etc. from items both from US, Asia and Europe.

Serek basses were the highlight for me at NAMM a few years ago. They feel great.
