I seen that last night and was going to post this AM. Not sure I remember seeing on of those basses ever. Looks to be in great condition but the photos are not that great. |

Anyone else have noticed the listing says it's a fretless and it has lines only on half of the fingerboard? I looked at Reverb listings and they all look like this as well. |

I can’t see the actual Facebook listing for this, but I looked up some pictures of other Bartell basses, and it looks like lines on the fretboard are the fret marks. Here’s an old reverb listing for a righty. (If that link works..) https://reverb.com/ca/item/180900-hohne ... 0s-natural |

I've never seen a fretless bass with lines only on half of the fretboard. Pretty cool! Murzenquest thanks for the link! |

Another odd thing is on the righty the top grain is going across the body and the back is going the opposite direction and has a binding |

I'd like to know how the neck is mounted. I would guess it's more than just those two visible bolts working overtime! |

That screw you see by the ‘bridge pickup’ secures the neck in addition to the others, but also has a tilt function, just as the 3-bolt 70’s fender basses. So the neck goes quite deep into the body. The only reason I know is because I took a dive into the interwebs... http://bartell.vintageusaguitars.com/in ... ll-basses/ |

Well, if you're going to own one of these, and you're a 'Murican, you've GOT to own this one! http://www.lostartvintage.com/Categoryi ... country=us |

I wondered if that was the case. |

My buddy Seb from the Paceshifters bought a guitar here in Toronto with that paint job on it when we had them over for a tour in Canada a few years ago. The guitar builder - a small boutique guy here - wasn't having any luck selling it to the hipster Canadian crowd that he usually gets, because of the 'Murican connotations. All he needed was a Dutch guy to walk in the shop.
