This seems too good to be true but I saw it on Southpaws Facebook Page, it's not on their web page but they are slow to update the web page. The noted 1974 Ric 4003 used finish slightly distressed. A few dings. $1799

I don't think it can be a 4003 (intro 1980) and made in '74. It looks like a 4001. It has the same straight-edged bridge pickup surround as my 1980 4001. In fact, this is the first example I've seen where the surrounds vertical edges don't scoop down under the strings apart from mine. I've never found any documentation about this detail. '74 date probably correct or at any rate, not older than that. After '74 there are no documented changes until the 4001 is discontinued in favour of the 4003 in 1983. |
